Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri is a hearty blend of the four main red grape varieties that the estate work with, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Juicy, concentrated notes of fig, cherries, ripe summer berries, are complemented by notes of fresh wild herbs and a refreshing palate. A brilliantly made, versatile red that will effortlessly pair with all the staples of Italian cuisine, carpaccio or some of the classic dishes from Provence.
When Rita Tua and her late husband bought a property in southern Tuscany in 1984, they could have never anticipated that they would end up heading the second generation of Super Tuscans with the proximity to the sea, gently sloping and a unique clay-based soil from the metalliferous hills of the Val di Cornia. Now Stefano Frascolla and his wife Simena, Rita’s daughter, are now at the helm of the estate. The wines are now more elegant and refined than ever, true gems of the Tuscan coast, crafted with the same attention to detail and pioneering spirit from the beginning.
