Clos Pons Roc de Foc is made exclusively from Macabeo grapes and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. A complex and surprising wine with an intense fruity aroma and nuts. A voluptuous white wine with notes of ripe fruit. Its unctuousness and character enhance cheeses, mixed rice, game, white meat, fatty fish, Asian cuisine.
Clos Pons is located in North East Spain’s Catalonian district, north of Barcelona. The estate, situated in the ‘Les Garrigues’ sub district of the region, sees scarce rainfall, cold winters and very warm summers, and sits at an altitude of 500 to 700 meters – all constituting the ideal space for producing wine of great quality. The Winery is located on a hill that dominates all the vineyard and Clos Pons follow an integrated production method, where the wine is produced on the same site the grapes are grown. Technology meets traditional methods at this facility, where everything is designed to work with respect to the quality and maintain the properties of the “terroir” in the wines they produce.
