The darling of enthusiasts, critics and sommeliers, the passionate and charismatic brother-sister duo of Marie and Jean Paul Zusslin seem to do no wrong. Established in 1691, thirteenth generation at the domain, their wines are poured at the finest establishments from New York to Tokyo, with good reason. Located in France’s eastern region of Alsace, south of Colmar, on the Bollenberg, Clos Liebenberg and Pfingstberg Grand Cru sites, this area is one of the driest in France with a unique microclimate. The domain pushes the boundaries of microparcel vinification with minuscule site-specific productions resulting in wines of extraordinary aromatic expression while maintaining remarkable freshness. Environmentally friendly in all aspects, the domain follows biodynamic principles since 1997, runs 100% on green electricity, is part of an organisation to preserve their rare wild tulips and orchids, and is also active in conservation in Madagascar.
