Tua Rita’s unique “seaside Sangiovese” is an enchanting expression of the vineyard’s location, named after the beautiful pink marble (“the pearl of the wood”) on which it is grown. Warm and elegant, the 2015 Perlato displays roses, lavender, sour cherry and hedgerow fruit. The velveteen tannins are balanced by a bright, refreshing acidity. There is a kiss of sweet, supple oak on the very pure and refined finish. This is archetypal Sangiovese from coastal Tuscany; a wine that can easily be enjoyed young but will undoubtedly go the distance.
Serve alongside roasted red meat such as Beef, Lamb, Veal, or alongside a charcuterie board.
