Description
Tua Rita Giusto di Notri is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Merlot and is one of the three benchmarks from Tua Rita. The wine shows the heft and determination you should expect, although this vintage reveals a magically delicate and elegant side with aromas of blue flowers, spice and wild plums. The wine is also light and fresh on the palate with a surprising degree of weightlessness, yet the persistence is long and polished.
When Rita Tua and her late husband bought a property in southern Tuscany in 1984, they could have never anticipated that they would end up heading the second generation of Super Tuscans with the proximity to the sea, gently sloping and a unique clay-based soil from the metalliferous hills of the Val di Cornia. Now Stefano Frascolla and his wife Simena, Rita’s daughter, are now at the helm of the estate. The wines are now more elegant and refined than ever, true gems of the Tuscan coast, crafted with the same attention to detail and pioneering spirit from the beginning.
