Description
Terras Gauda O’Rosal is a delicious blend of three varieties, Albariño (70%), Caiño Blanco (23%) and Loureiro (7%). Ripe peach, tangerine and orange peel aromas are supposed by a delicate earthy minerality and some subtle creamy notes. It has a pleasant and intense long finish. This is a rich, full wine that at the same time remains fresh, youthful and lively.
Founded in 1990, Bodegas Terras Gauda is located in southwestern Galicia, on the border with northern Portugal, in the O Rosal Valley. A part of the Rías Baixas DO, the vineyards are planted between 50m and 150m above sea level, close to the mouth of the Miño River. Terras Gauda currently has a whopping 160-hectares of vineyard, planted to 65% Albariño, 24% Caiño Blanco, 10% Loureiro and 1% Treixadura. The Terras Gauda group also controls the wineries of Viñedos y Bodegas Pitticum and Quinta Sardonia.
