Description
The Serge Dagueneau & Filles Domaine is situated in the commune of Les Berthiers, combining complex soils of chalky, kimmeridgian marl (containing millions of tiny oyster shells) and flints. It has been in the capable hands of Serge’s daughter, Valérie for many years, where she excels in producing elegant wines from the family’s 18 hectare estate.
Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Smoky gun flint scents overlay citrus, herbaceous asparagus, faint lemon butter and grassy notes. Lively flavours of citrus, gooseberries, herbaceous grassy characters, asparagus and a flinty minerality line the palate. Finishes dry and fresh with crisp acidity and a medium to long conclusion.
