San Polo Rubio is a brilliant ruby-red with purple hues. This wine has intense aromas of red cherries, violets and currants, followed by a hint of spice. Well-structured and balanced on the palate, Rubio is easy-going and versatile, but also notable for its intensity and elegance.

San Polo is situated in Podernovi, on the southern slope of Montalcino. The valley is called Sant’Antimo and there too, almost at touching distance, stands Mount Amiata.
