Description
The 2019 Paul Jaboulet-Aîné Chevalier de Stérimberg is made from a blend of Marsanne (70%) and Roussanne (30%). From the grown up Hermitage appellation, this beautiful white wine It is spiced and full-bodied. Gentle vinification in concrete eggs and oak barrels (only a small proportion new) coax out the fruit.
One of the most iconic names in the world of wine. The original Jaboulet business was set up in 1834, when Antoine Jaboulet opened in Tain l’Hermitage – and purchased his first vineyards on the classic Hermitage slopes and the Crozes Hermitage plains. Since then, much has changed, most notably in recent history when the Frey family, who own Chateau La Lagune in Bordeaux, took over Paul Jaboulet Aine in 2006. The wines have had a noticeable lift in quality – and we are pleased to list a range of their stunning red wines and white wines from all over the great Rhone Valley, including Cote Rotie, Condrieu, Hermitage and Crozes Hermitage. All estates are now certified organic and the team broadly follow biodynamic principles.
