Description
Malolactic fermentation, lees ageing, and time in Burgundian barrels contribute to the aromatic and full flavour of the Patz and Hall Hyde Chardonnay. The nose is full of white flowers, honey, orange peel and toasted almonds, whilst the palate is refreshing with sharp green apple harmonising with the softness of butter cookies.
Patz & Hall was founded in 1988 by four talented individuals: Donald Patz, James Hall, Anne Moses, and Heather Patz. Together, they turned Patz & Hall into one of California’s most highly regarded wineries with a celebrated portfolio of single-vineyard wines. To achieve their goal of making exceptional limited-production wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the four founders each focused their specialized knowledge and expertise on different areas of the winery’s operations. All wines are made at their state-of-the-art winery in Sonoma – which was designed by winemaker James Hall. In addition to their still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines, they also produce a couple of sparkling wines from these grape varieties.
Food Pairing: Try this wine with roast chicken or seafood dishes.
