Description
The Moulin de Gassac ‘Pont de Gassac’ Rouge 2021 is a dry red wine with aromas of black fruits like plum, blackcurrant and blackberry, as well as toasty vanilla, tobacco, and notes of oak. The palate is medium to full bodied with smooth tannins and a freshness on the finish. A great everyday red from the Languedoc.
The Moulin de Gassac label was created in the early 90s by the father and founder of Mas de Daumas Gassac, Aimé Guibert. As a result of his discovery of the exceptional amphitheatre site of Villeveyrac, an unusual partnership was born. Following the introduction of the vine pull schemes, he began to work with the individual vine growers in the area with a view to saving its plots. The Moulin de Gassac wines played a decisive role in preventing the disappearance of this terroir. Thereafter, Mas de Daumas Gassac confirmed the wines’ unique identity with their own signature: Moulin de Gassac.
Food matches: This wine pairs well with beef, pasta, and veal dishes.
