Daumas Gassac Rouge 2013
In the Gassac valley, 2013 was marked by a severe winter and cool spring, followed by summer heat and then a glorious autumn. We experienced the latest harvest ever (23 September – 6 October) since the Domaine was founded, and this 36th vintage will be remembered as one of the greatest of all “Daumas Gassac” reds.
Distinguished, fresh, elegant, balanced, with unmatched complex aromas, this 2013 is really impressive and thoroughly seductive. This wine displays powerful tannins, excellent acidity and a ripe fruit finish. Dark red in colour with complex notes of tart red fruit and black plum with a touch of leather.
Daumas Gassac Rouge 2014
This vintage demonstrates a classical balance, poise and charm. This wine has relatively fine-grained aromas of black fruit and fresh, floral notes. A timeless vintage drink it why young to relish its elegant fruitiness. Or put it down, knowing that in 7 or 15 years this wine will be truly superb. serve in a large Balloon glass and open 3 to 4 hours before serving with cork or decant, with stopper.
Daumas Gassac Rouge 2015
2015 looks to match the outstanding 2010 vintage for excellent fruit precision and lift. It’s dark in colour yet not opaque at present. The intense blackcurrant notes blend perfectly with the slightly bitter herbal notes so characteristic of this wine. Balanced tannins complement the fruit seamlessly. Absolutely drinkable now, though records show this vintage will age very well. An excellent vintage.
