Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial 2011 from Marqués de Murrieta is a distinguished Rioja, crafted from grapes exclusively sourced from the 40-hectare La Plana vineyard. This vineyard, located at 485 meters altitude, contributes to the wine’s exceptional quality. The 2011 vintage blends 84% Tempranillo and 16% Mazuelo, with grapes manually harvested and meticulously selected. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks and gentle pressing, the wine ages for 28 months in American and French oak barrels, followed by 13 months in concrete tanks before bottling.
