Description
Aged for 8 to 10 months in stainless steel vats, the Mâcon-Lugny “Les Genièvres” 2022 has a bright pale-yellow color with green hues. The nose reveals aromas of honeysuckle and linden, whilst the palate is ample and very round, unveiling charming notes of almond. The finish provides a welcome freshness.
One of the biggest names in Burgundy, Maison Louis Latour has a history that dates back to 1731, when the first vineyards in Beaune were bought by the Latour family. In 1815, the first wines were shipped to Great Britain and they have been hugely popular here ever since. It is well known that the village of Lugny, with its limestone soils and warm climate, produces the most coveted white wines of the region. The vineyard of “Les Genièvres” is one of the best. Maison Louis Latour selects the best grapes from this village, which thanks to its terroir, was the only village planted with Chardonnay 30 years ago.
Food Pairing: Perfect with grilled fish, seafood, and Comté cheese.
