Description
Aged for 24 months in stainless steel vats, the Chardonnay de l’Ardèche 2021 is pale yellow in colour. The first sniff is discreet with aromas of sage. It then opens up and reveals notes of lemon verbena and fresh almond. The palate is light and well-structured, expressing floral, hawthorn and citrus aromas. The finish is light and refreshing.
One of the biggest names in Burgundy, Maison Louis Latour has a history that dates back to 1731, when the first vineyards in Beaune were bought by the Latour family. In 1815, the first wines were shipped to Great Britain and they have been hugely popular here ever since. In 1979, the house exported its Burgundian know-how to the Ardèche and produces the ‘Grand Ardèche’ wine for the first time in 1985. The house has made it a point of honour to remain family-owned, and today the vineyard area spans some 50 hectares of exceptional sites.
