Louis Jadot Pommard Clos de la Commaraine Premier Cru 2014 is a really fabulous addition to our list. Louis Jadot and Pommard are two of the great names associated with Burgundy. If you like your Burgundy reds, then you will certainly enjoy this super Pinot Noir. Structured, well balanced, wonderful perfumed aromas of ripe, round and full bodied fruits. Typical Pommard red cherries, hard candy, flowers and mint jump from the glass. Highly recommended and definitely one for the cellar for the collectors out there.

Pommard is located between Beaune to the north and Volnay to the South. On the slope, most of the
vineyards are East and South-East oriented. Pommard produces only red wines and does not have
any grands crus.

The Clos de la Commaraine is 4 hectares large ; it is oriented to the East next to the village. The soil is
deep and well drained on the surface. Some springs in the underground bring freshness to the soil.
Moreover, the soil is quite stony.

Destemmed grapes ferment in vats during 3 to 4 weeks. Aging takes place in oak barrels produced by
our cooperage Cadus during 18 months.
