A wonderful red wine displaying consistency and elegance with spicy and balsamic notes. Aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 70% in new oak.
Deep, dark cherry red, almost black in colour. Very intense blackberry aromas, with redcurrants, violet and fennel, leading to more complex notes of sweet spice, bay leaves, black olives, incense, liquorice, tobacco and cocoa. The palate is powerful with exceptional structure and balance of minerality, acidity and silky tannins, which deliver an elegant mouthfeel. A long finish, with a pleasant lasting taste of ripe dark fruit and sweet liquorice.
Food matches: Enjoy with grilled beef, lamb and aged cheese.
