Description
Piélago is a village wine bearing the name of the mountain which crowns the vineyards, from the the village of El Real de San Vicente, in the province of Toledo. A Garnacha described as in between the Atlantic and Mediterranean, a Garnancha with its own character; authentic, refined, fresh and feminine. Aged for 20 months in new and semi-new French oak barrels.
Its complexity is derived from charmingly harmonious contrasts; aromas of fresh flowers complement the notes of wild and dried herbs; strawberries, raspberries, melon and pomegranate combine acidity with sweetness and delicious lusciousness. Subtle notes of damp leaves, smoky and earthy nuances add depth. The palate is seductive, refined and easy to drink with a notable tannic structure, meatiness and vibrant acidity. A very well-balanced wine, that shows great respect for the environment.
Food pairing: Perfect with grilled pork, roast chicken and mushroom and rice dishes.
Serves at: 16 – 18°C
