The wines from Jiménez Landi are very special indeed – and we are pleased to be importing them directly. Located close to Sierra de Gredos, in Méntrida, inside an old 16th century house where wines have made since ancient times. The winery endeavours to express their terroir and vinified varieties, capturing freshness, balance, grace and complexity. El Corralón is derived from vines planted between 1973 and 2004, 630m above sea level on granite soils, exposed to the continental climate with rainfall of 465mm per year.
This wine is intense, expressive and full-bodied, a wonderful illustration of the predominately native Garnacha variety, with additional depth from the Syrah. The nose offers aromas of ripe red and black fruit, along with subtle notes of violet, toast and balsamic. The palate is powerful, juicy and well-balanced. A heavenly wine.
