Description
The Lopez de Haro Tempranillo is made from hand-harvested grapes and spends 6 months in new oak barrels. A violet colour in the glass, expect complex aromas of red fruit and liquorice on the nose, with a hint of toast from the time in barrel. On the palate the tannins are ripe and there is a brilliant acidity which provides a lingering aftertaste.
Situated on a picturesque hillside of the historic village of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, one of the most well-known wine villages in La Rioja, Hacienda López de Haro produce wines made using traditional methods, intending to convey the fusion between the traditional and the modern. The winery combines grapes of excellent quality with the essence of the Riojan wine tradition to create a wide range of elegant wines with their own personality – “Riojan wine, not Riojas”. Hacienda López de Haro have a network of trusted small winegrowers with whom they have been working for many years. The quality of their vineyards, the love for their land, and the feeling of belonging to a common project have made them an essential part of the winery to this day.
