Description

Empordàlia is an association of small producers from the Empordà who have been working the Empordà land for generations. Their commitment is quite simply to combine tradition and quality in every bottle. To do this, the intention is for each vintage to conserve the defining features of the Empordà. Made up of three cooperatives in the region, the first of which was founded in 1947, Empordàlia consider themselves as a big family, who work the vineyards and olive groves just as their grandparents and great-grandparents taught them to do, with respect for the land, true to their values, and carrying forward tradition, for the benefit of future generations.

Empordàlia – Balmeta 2019 is an intense, vibrant cherry-coloured wine. With aromas of candied black fruits like cherries and blackberries, combined with hints of grey pepper. A full-bodied, powerful wine in the mouth, with the presence of tannins and an after-taste with touches of vanilla and exotic spices.

Serve at:  14-17°C

Food matches: It can be enjoyed at any time of the day, as an aperitif, with tapas or cold cuts, and it pairs well with all types of stewed or grilled meat.
