Empordàlia is an association of small producers from the Empordà who have been working the Empordà land for generations. Their commitment is quite simply to combine tradition and quality in every bottle. To do this, the intention is for each vintage to conserve the defining features of the Empordà. Made up of three cooperatives in the region, the first of which was founded in 1947, Empordàlia consider themselves as a big family, who work the vineyards and olive groves just as their grandparents and great-grandparents taught them to do, with respect for the land, true to their values, and carrying forward tradition, for the benefit of future generations.
Boutique wine of an intense, bright ruby hue. Aromas of black fruit and exotic spices balanced with aromas derived from the wine’s ageing, such as coffee beans. Intense on the palate with fruit and liquorice notes, it has a long fresh finish.
Serve at: 15-17°C
Food matches: Accompanies red meat, roasts, game and semi-cured cheeses, and also invites diners to discover dishes from the Empordà and wild mushroom dishes.
