Description
Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Blanc is a pale and limpid colour opening onto a fresh flint nose complemented by a hint of white flowers and citrus. On the palate, the bouquet is fine and elegant and flavours of white fruits persist on the palate. Soils of flint and limestone with a grape variety of Sauvignon Blanc with an average age of 20 years. Pressed at low temperature and decanted cold, this white wine has been matured for 1 year on lees, 50% of which in barrels for 1 to 3 years and 50% in vats.
Domaine Vacheron is a producer located in Sancerre, in the Loire Valley region of France. Run today by third generation brothers Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique Vacheron, in 2005 the brothers adopted complete biodynamic practices in both the vineyard and cellar. Producing both Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, they are considered to be one of the best producers in Sancerre.
