Domaine Auvigue Macon Fuisse is rich with mineral flavours. Lees ageing adds complexity to delicious ripe flavours and classic terroir that is unique to these vineyards located below the hill of Solutré.
Domaine Auvigue is a dynamic family business and a specialist in the wines of Pouilly Fuissé and Saint-Véran from the Macon region of southern Burgundy, where the chalk and limestone hills give way to the volcanic slopes of Beaujolais to the north of Lyon. Jean-Pierre and Michel Auvigue are third generation proprietors at their winery located in a converted mill, the Moulin du Pont. The family have been working the vineyards for many years, closely following the traditional methods of Burgundian viticulture. Whilst their production is small, the quality is of the highest level, indeed amongst the top three or four of all producers of Pouilly Fuissé.
