Description
The 2015 Clos de l’Oratoire has an extremely pure and sensual bouquet: dark cherries, blueberry, a touch of violet all beautifully defined and enmeshed with the 40% new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, impressive weight in the mouth counterbalanced by a fine thread of acidity. This is a very assured and accomplished Saint-Émilion, often overshadowed by its stablemate Canon-la-Gaffelière. But do not ignore this gem. Anticipated maturity: 2020 – 2038
