Brunel de La Gardine – Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc 2018
Region: Southern Rhône
Grape Varietals: 30% Rousanne, 20% Clairette, 20% Viognier, 20% Grenache Blanc, 10% Bourboulanc
Notes: A spectacular looking bottle that delivers before you pop the cork. Bright pale yellow in colour with a very citrusy nose of lemon and grapefruit. This wine has a fresh and mineral palate – if you close your eyes you could be conned into thinking this was a more expensive white Chateauneuf!
Le Cerf Noir – Vin Pays Du Perigord Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Region: IGP Perigord
Grape Varietals: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Notes: A dry and fruity white. Light yellow in colour with green reflections, this Sauvignon reveals aromas of blackcurrant and exotic lychee fruit. The palate delivers zesty citrus notes and white peach flavours. The finish is fresh and tangy, with a dominance of exotic fruits.
Moulin de Gassac – Picpoul de Pinet 2018
Grape Varietals: 100% Picpoul de Pinet
Notes: A light-medium bodied white wine. Fresh and fruity, this is an absolute dream of a wine for the Spring and Summer seasons. The 2018 is clean and fresh with bright, pleasing, briny mineral notes in both the nose and the mouth. The palate is dominated by melon and citrus flavours and a crisp, zesty acidity that keeps you coming back for more.
Valentin Zusslin – Pinot Gris Bollenberg Sec 2014
Grape Varietals: 100% Pinot Gris
Notes: A dry Pinot Gris from 20-year-old vines. Elegant, direct, taught and aromatic, it offers fresh fine fruits with a saline touch. Excellent paired with seafood, clams and lighter shellfish.
Puech Haut – Tete de Belier Blanc 2017
Grape Varietals: 40% Roussanne, 40% Marsanne, 20% Grenache Blanc & Viognier
Notes: A full-bodied, fresh and sophisticated white. On the nose, hints of almond, herbs and golden apple come together while notes of white peach, honeyed orange, caramelised currants and white flowers blend together on the palate. The palate is full-bodied and fresh, which balances the crisp yet long-lasting finish by hints of tannin and white pepper.
Joseph Drouhin – Laforet Chardonnay 2017
Grape Varietals: 100% Chardonnay
2017 is a remarkable vintage, revealing all the elegance of the white grape varieties. The wines are floral with hints of citrus. They are well-balanced, round and very attractive. Full of life! A bouquet of citrus aromas, and then we find honey and vanilla. In the mouth, it’s funky, spontaneous, striking. Really charming!
