Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon is a robust and smoky California Cab with bright red berry, wild herbs, mint, lavender, toasty oak spice flavours with amazing acidity for food. Tannins are fine and firm.
Chateau Montelena has a celebrated history and pride themselves on questioning every aspect of their production with the goal of making everything just a little bit better than it previously was. With a 14-decade legacy comes the responsibility for further growth and they refuse to rest on their laurels. The estate is firmly of the belief that modern technology should not replace people or the art in winemaking, but rather expand the creative potential. They are not interested in recreating a specific flavor in their wines year after year, but capturing each unique season through the lens of their growing site. The goal is to paint with all of the colors, with Montelena expressed in every vintage, and a unique story living within each bottle they craft.
