The blend used in the 2015 Lynch-Bages allows Château Lynch-Bages to highlight the perfection and brilliance of Cabernet Sauvignon. Entering here at 70%, Cabernet Sauvignon (very concentrated with remarkably mature tannins) shares the blend with 24% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. This 5th classified growth of Pauillac is very expressive on aromas of black fruits, blackcurrant with a delicate empyreumatic note linked to the current aging.
Medium to deep garnet-purple in colour, the 2015 Lynch Bages offers up crushed black berries, black cherries and dried herbs with an earthy undercurrent. The entry in the mouth has a frank attack. The mid-palate has volume, weight on a fine-grained, silky tannic texture, lively fruit, with perfectly well extracted tannins. The finish has real length and ends in a bath of black fruits. A large Lynch-Bages with serious potential.
