Château Puech-Haut, Château Lavabre’s parent producer, is a secret star of Languedoc near the region of Pic-St-Loup, founded by Gerard Bru. Located 20 kilometres North East of Montpellier, the terroir of Puech-Haut extends over 250 hectares for a difference in height oscillating between 50 and 150 meters above sea level. The combination of the Mediterranean climate and mixture of clay and limestone soils topped with galet pebbles, help create a truly impressive range of superb value French Country wines.
A brilliant blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache offers beautiful aromas of intense blackberries, black cherries and woody notes. A rich, full-bodied red with intense and deep notes of redcurrants and black fruit with hints of chocolate and liquorice. This red offers a lingering aftertaste which is powerful yet fresh.
