This wine comes from the family-owned property of Chateau La Tuilerie du Puy. The family have been there since 1616 and are established in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, surrounded by the Dropt River for more than three generations. The Waud Wine Club have long links back with the estate as we visited there on our Tour du Vin in 2012.
The latest generation at Chateau La Tuilerie du Puy took over in 1996, with our friend Michael Regaud. As you would expect, he has a great passion for wine, the same love of travels, and still this pioneering spirit that characterizes the family. After working with wine in California, Michael brings his international experience to the family estate.
Tasting note: Pale yellow in colour with green reflections. The nose is elegant, with aromas of citrus fruit and apricot. The grapes come from clay-limestone dominant soils and are distinguished by the balance and structure of the palate and fineness of aromas. The palate is fruity and well-balanced with notes of grapefruit, apricot and pineapple. The finish is long and uplifting due to the slight acidity.
Food matches: Pair with grilled white fish, prawns and shellfish.
