Description
A new wine for us, but what a discovery! The ancestors, Florian Bertrand and Adélys Bertrand, winemakers in Pignan anchored their roots to Engarran in 1924 and had it classified as a historic monument. Five generations have since succeeded at the head of the estate, which today has about 60 hectares.
This delightful red is bright red in colour and delivers a nose of red fruit and crisp, beautiful cherry. The palate brings together notes of cherry, fresh fruit and pepper to awaken the taste buds and add length. A well-rounded, fruity flavour with a touch of smoke in the finish leaves a pleasing imprint in the mouth.
Food matches: Try pairing with tapas, cheese and roast chicken.
