Description
Basilisco Sophia is straw yellow in colour with greenish shimmers, its scent recalls fresh flowers, roses and yellow peach. The palate is young, crisp and mellow with aromatic notes and a gentle touch of spice.
Basilisco, since being founded in the early 90s, has aimed for the highest quality both in the vineyards and in wine making, becoming in a pearl in the Southern Italian wine scene in only a short period of time. The winery was acquired by the region’s leading producer Feudi di San Gregorio in 2011 after their project to reclaim historic sites including Basilisco’s ancient tuff stone caves, giving birth to a space of astonishing beauty in the heart of the historical location.
