Arzuaga – Ribera del Duero Crianza 2018 is a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties belonging to the oldest part of the La Planta estate; cultivated at an altitude of 911 meters on clay-calcareous soils, with the limestone bedrock one meter from the surface. Clean and bright, red cherry and violet hues. Powerful and complex nose, highly aromatic, with dominating notes of ripe red fruits, as well as spicy touches and balsamic notes. Full bodied with soft touches, this wine is elegant and full of personality.
Bodegas Arzuaga is located in Valladolid, in the middle of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. The setting where the wines produced by the winery are born can be found in the La Planta estate, a property that the Arzuaga family owns in the Valladolid town of Quintanilla de Onésimo. This estate has a privileged situation for the cultivation of the vine, since its vines receive the sun and the necessary humidity for the perfect ripening of the grape. La Planta is a place where the flora and fauna of the area coexist. A flora made up of pines, holm oaks and junipers and a fauna made up of wild boars and deer. This coexistence is, without a doubt, the confirmation of the love that the Arzuaga family feels for the world of nature. The farm consists of 1,400 hectares, a luxury in the middle of the Denomination and Golden Mile of the Ribera del Duero.
