Founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis – a small and ancient village that lies to the south of Lyon at the very heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. The vineyards of Guigal are located on stark and steep terrain that has been cultivated into terraces – vineyards and wines have been enjoyed in this region for over 2,400 years.
The Guigal domain today, is made up of a number of exceptional vineyards and outstanding plots that produce the prestigious wines the winery is so famous for, such as Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage.
