One of the first producers we imported back in 2011 – and a winery that has been a constant on our list ever since. The Pons family has been engaged in growing olives and producing olive oil for nearly 80 years, to the point that Grup Pons became a company of reference in the sector. In 2005 the family set out to recover the Les Garrigues vineyards, creating the Clos Pons Winery that is located between the towns of l’Albagés and Pobla de Cérvoles, and producing DO Costers de Segre wines.

Like the typical buildings in the region, the cellar building is made of stone and wood to ensure maximum integration with the landscape.

The main wines that we list from Clos Pons are; Alges, Sisquella, Roc Nu, 809 and Roc de Foc, and they are made primarily with the grape varieties; Tempranillo, Garnacha, Syrah, Muscat of Alexandria, Cabernet Sauvignon and Macabeo. These embody the characteristics of the soil and the region’s arid continental climate.
