In 2002, Marcial Dorado boughta new vineyard in Seixas by the mouth of the Minho river in North West Portugal. Marcial believes this vineyard, with its rare outcropping of schist, holds great potential. The classic stone fruit of the Alvarinho combine with the floral delicate Trajadura on the nose. The palate is a rich and succulently textured with a seam of smoke and creaminess from ageing on the lees of the wine. This is balanced by the refreshing ripe green fruit acidity for which whites from this part of the Iberian peninsula are rightly famous.
