Southern French Long Lunch @ Saint Jacques, St James’s

We are thrilled to invite you to a special Long Lunch in London at one of our favourite French restaurants – Saint Jacques on St James’s.

We gave Richard Weiss our list of wines for the lunch – and he has created an excellent food menu to compliment the tasting. As you will be able to tell – we are very excited!

On arrival, we will be serving canapés alongside Mas de Daumas Gassac Rose Frizant 2023.

We will sit down to 4 further courses – starting with Pan Seared Scallops with Citrus and Lovage Velouté, that will be accompanied with Louis Cheze Viognier 2023.

This will be followed by a mid course of Chicken Liver Mouse with Cranberry Chutney.

Onto the main course where we will be serving two red wines with Traditional Lamb Navarin. First up will be Michel Gassier Nostre Pais Rouge 2021 from Costieres de Nimes, then Chateau de la Gardine Chateauneuf du Pape 2021 from Southern Rhone.

Our final course will be an traditional and iconic Rhubarb Tarte Tatin – served with our special Declassified Sauternes 2021 that comes very highly recommended indeed. We will tell the special story about this wine on the day!

At this point we trust you will be feeling quite replete – and after a coffee, we can reflect on an excellent Long Lunch!
