Discover the Best of UK Producers During English Wine Week
Do you love English wine as much as we do? This week, we celebrate the local producers who pioneered England’s wine industry and created something extraordinary: a perfect alternative to Champagne.
The English wine industry consists of over 450 vineyards producing a variety of exceptional wines. These include remarkable whites from Chardonnay and Bacchus, elegant Pinot Noir reds, and fantastic fresh rosés. The jewel of local winemaking, however, is English sparkling wine, which often outshines even the most sophisticated Champagne. The diversity of UK producers and styles caters to every wine enthusiast. And annual English Wine Week exists to highlight the unique offerings of England’s terroir.
This year, it takes place from June 15th to 23rd. During this time, vineyards across the UK open their doors for tours, allowing visitors to see first-hand how these exceptional wines are made. Special offers and various portfolio tastings are available throughout the week, giving wine lovers the chance to explore and enjoy a wide range of English wines.
Celebrate this occasion by treating yourself to a case of refreshing wines from Rathfinny or Chapel Down, perfect for picnics and summer parties. Check out the available selection in our online shop, and to enhance your celebration, mark your calendar for a special event on September 4-5. Join us for a wine tour at Rathfinny winery, featuring a visit to the vineyard and cellars, a full portfolio tasting, and a three-course dinner at Flint Barns.
