In 2024, we plan to once again host three separate wine tours. One to Bordeaux, one to Burgundy, and one to Barcelona in North East Spain.
The tours will typically be three days and three nights – visiting between 5 and 7 vineyards throughout the trip. Hotels are normally 4 or 5 star.
There are normally between 12 and 16 tourists – and the trips are informal, fun, with like-minded people – and are good opportunities to try a range of wines that we think everyone will enjoy.
Tours typically range between £1,200 to £1,400 per head – and there are single room + non-member supplements.
Bordeaux 2024
Date to be confirmed, but likely to be in April/May time.
We will fly into Bordeaux – and have Fun Buses drive us around from there.
Waud Investment Wines investment customers will have priority here. A three day tour taking in the Left and Right Banks of Bordeaux – visiting the famous appellations of Pauillac, Margaux, Pessac Leognan, St Emilion and Pomerol.
Burgundy 2024
Expected Dates: 16th – 19th July 2024.
This is a driving tour – where we expect to tick off a number of the famous appellations of Burgundy – tasting numerous Chardonnay and Pinot Noir along the way.
We would expect to have our first tasting in Day 1 in Chablis, travel to the Cote de Nuit and Cote de Beaune on Day 2 for a couple of tasting and lunches, stay in Beaune on night 2, before heading further South to the Maconnais and taste a variety of famous sub appellations including Saint Veran, Macon Villages and Pouilly Fuisse on Day 3.
Barcelona 2024
Expected Dates: 22nd – 25th October 2024.
This is a fly/drive tour – where we will fly into Barcelona, then have Fun Buses drive us around from there.
A three day trip taking in the famous sub regions of Priorat and Montsant, then also Costers del Segre where the Clos Pons wines hail from.
The final day of the trip will be spent in Barcelona, where it is expected we will have a more ‘tourist’ day checking out the famous city, alongside a long lunch and some great wines.
